Available with the 1.6L petrol turbo engines, the 7-speed computer-controlled DCT combines the fuel efficiency and acceleration of a manual transmission with the ease, simplicity and absence of a clutch pedal of an automatic.

7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT)

Keep your proximity key in your pocket and start and stop the motor simply by pushing the ‘Engine Start/Stop’ button mounted in the dash. You can also lock and unlock your i30 Hatch N Line simply by pushing the small button on the front door handles.

Allows you to choose from three driving modes—Normal, Eco, and Sport—to best meet your immediate driving needs. Sport mode increases steering weighting and engine response. Coupled with delayed up-shifting, Sport mode maximises the dynamic driving feel of your i30 Hatch N Line. Choose Normal mode for a driving experience optimised for typical daily use or Eco mode when fuel economy is your top priority.

At speeds of 64km/h and above, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) uses the windshield-mounted camera to continually monitor the i30 Hatch N Line’s position in a lane while also tracking steering, brake pedal use, and time since your last break. When a pattern of fatigue or distraction is identified, the system gets your attention with an alert plus a pop-up message suggesting you take a rest stop.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)

FCW utilises the front radar sensor and windshield-mounted camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians in front of the i30 Hatch N Line. If a potential collision is detected, the FCW system will sound an audible warning chime and display a visual warning in the supervision cluster.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Remembering to turn high beam on and off at night can be easily overlooked. Available as part of the LED headlamp option, the High Beam Assist system recognises oncoming vehicles at night and automatically switches between high and low beam, so you’re always emitting the right light, every time.

High Beam Assist (HBA)

Exclusive to the N Line range, the 150kW Gamma 1.6 Turbo-GDI engine delivers sharp throttle response, impressive low-end torque, yet welcome fuel economy. In fact, the N Line range offers 25% more power and 31% more torque compared to the standard 2.0 GDi engine.
